About Me
My coastal landscape paintings are created under an open sky. Having grown up on the water, sunsets and sunrises, storms and clouds have been my best friends. I am in awe of the cool beauty of the morning light and ponder the cries of sea gulls as the burning sun goes down. The moon plays games in between.
It is this seamless experience and continuing observation of living by the sea that inspires my paintings...
After a lifetime in a creative design world (which included Tiffany & Co., Continental Airlines and Lenox, Inc., as clients) I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Moore College of Art and Design. It is then that I began to paint, however art has always been an integral part of my life.
I have exhibited in coastal galleries on both US coasts and in Bermuda. Summering on the coast of Maine, at the Jersey Shore, and in Bermuda winters, as well as traveling to special destinations like the San Juan Islands and Cornwall, England, my love for the sea and it’s broody atmosphere has always intrigued me. It is this sensibility that is my painting and exhibition signature.
